Trust & verification

Anyone can list a business. Not everyone can prove it.

Most directories let a business type whatever it likes into a profile.OneBiz checks the claims that matter — registration, identity, licence and insurance — against the bodies that issue them.

Levels

The four verification levels

A business’s tier appears on its profile and in search results. Each level requires everything below it — nothing can be skipped.

  1. 0Tier 0

    Unverified

Listed, but nothing has been checked yet.

    • Profile created
  2. 1Tier 1

    • Email address verified
  3. 2Tier 2

    Verified Pro

The person and their professional standing have been checked.

    • Everything in Basic

    Pro Plus

The highest level of assurance OneBiz offers.

Score

How the trust score is calculated

Every listed business carries a score out of 100. It is computed from six weighted components — not from how much a business pays us. A business cannot buy a higher score.

The score influences search ranking alongside verification status and customer rating, and it is shown on the public profile so you can judge a business at a glance.

What verification does not mean

A verified badge confirms that a business is registered, that its licence was valid when we checked it, and that the person behind it is who they say they are. It is not a guarantee of the quality of any particular piece of work, and it is not professional advice from OneBiz.

Licences can lapse between checks. If you believe a listing is inaccurate, contact support and our moderation team will review it.
